Mike Chuck
Mike has been employed with R.J.N. since 1996 and has held the position of Surveillance Director since 1997. His role is to insure the proper scheduling of subrosa cases as instructed by clients, in addition to maintaining the highest level of investigative standards for the field investigators. Mike directly manages the case supervisors who assist in the overall task of developing pre-surveillance data, investigative plans, monitoring daily field operations, reviewing surveillances for quality, and assessing our work product to make additional recommendations to clients for the defense of a claim.

Mark Fava
Mark joined R.J.N. in 1999 after enjoying a career in law enforcement in which he gained investigative experience as a Special Agent with the F.B.I. National Security Divisions of the Miami and Los Angeles Field Offices, a Deputy Sheriff with the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, a Police Officer in New Hampshire, and a Correctional Officer in Collier County, Florida. Mark, who was a certified Firearms Instructor, EVOC Driving Instructor, Defensive Tactics Instructor, and Non-Lethal Weapon Instructor at the San Diego County Regional Law Enforcement Police Academy and a certified firefighter in the State of Florida, oversees our Background Investigations Unit. |

Michael A. Gomez
Mr. Gomez is happy to be part of the RJN Investigation team. He is the former Vice President -Western Region for GlobalOptions, Inc., a National Investigation Company. During his tenure at GlobalOptions, he was responsible for the operation of this territory, which included 3 offices and over 75 investigators throughout the Western U.S. Prior to this, he directed the Western Region of Confidential Business Resources, formerly Gallagher Bassett Investigative Services, which was sold to GlobalOptions, a publicly traded company in 2005. Mr. Gomez has been a guest speaker at numerous national and local conferences on Fraud and SIU topics. He was also instrumental in forming a National SIU unit for a Major TPA.
Mr. Gomez started his career with Allstate Insurance Company in 1987. Due to his expertise in investigations, he was given the opportunity to work in the first SIU unit for the company in Orange County. He worked closely with former law enforcement employees in this unit and they were instrumental in saving the company approximately $1 million dollars in denied claims. He departed Allstate in 1995 to pursue a career in SIU with The Home Insurance Co.
Mr. Gomez resides in Diamond Bar, CA. and is married with three children. He is actively involved with his Son’s club soccer team and High School Marching Band. He enjoys Golf and exercising.
Mr. Gomez has a B.A. in Business Administration from Whittier College and is a licensed Private Investigator in California. |

Miriam Lawrence,
Miriam has been employed with R.J.N. since 1989. She is in charge of monitoring surveillance case files for overall quality control, red flag indicators for fraud, as well as internet investigations when needed. Miriam is experienced with insurance defense investigations, including Workers' Compensation, liability and medical fraud.
During the past few years, Miriam began attending seminars and conferences, including PARMA, AIGWIR, and CAWC, and the Workers’ Compensation Forum, Inland Empire, to further her knowledge of the Workers’ Comp system and expand client contacts. Furthermore, she is responsible for overall client satisfaction, therefore, should you need assistance, please feel free to contact her.

Fred Martino
Senior Manager/Administrator for RJN Investigations since 2002. Fred came to us after 25 years as a law enforcement professional where he served both locally and statewide. He worked 10 years as a patrol officer, investigator, field training officer, and watch commander for the Laguna Beach Police Department. He then joined the California Department of Justice as a Special Agent where he excelled as an expert in narcotics enforcement and surveillance techniques. Fred was promoted and assigned as the Department of Justice Special Agent Academy Coordinator where he taught his specialty to law enforcement officers nationwide. During his DOJ career Fred managed several drug and violent crime task forces throughout the State. He is a Medal of Valor recipient and holds degrees in Criminal Justice and Management, along with a lifetime teaching credential from the State of California.

Ty Montoya
Ty began his career in law enforcement and served several years in the Community Response Unit where the focus was on career criminals. Many of Mr. Montoya’s duties were undercover, conducting buy-bust operations. In his law enforcement career, Mr. Montoya was awarded the Medal of Valor by California State Senator Ruben Ayala and also the Police Star of Merit Medal for Bravery.
Mr. Montoya, looking for a safer career, chose RJN Investigations in 1989. His leadership and reputation is well known throughout the insurance defense and legal communities. Mr. Montoya is the V.P. of Special Projects and manages our key client accounts. Mr. Montoya is an accomplished trainer and lectures regularly to senior claims personnel and other audiences in the industry. He has been an invited speaker/lecturer with organizations such as the Southern California Fraud Investigator’s Association, Employer’s Fraud Task Force, Orange County District Attorney’s Office, and the California Joint Powers Insurance Authority to name a few.
Mr. Montoya continues his education in this ever changing case law world and has attended, Cal-State Fullerton and California Southern School of Law.

Norma Jimenez
Norma Jimenez serves as the HR Manager for RJN Investigations and has been employed by RJN since May 1998. Norma joined RJN with a diverse background in several industries to include manufacturing, non-profit and distribution. Prior to joining RJN Investigations, Norma worked at Sweetheart Cup as an HR Administrator. Norma also worked at National RV, an employer of over 1100 employers where she worked in the Human Resources Department.
Under the direction of Norma, the Human Resources department handles many areas of the business that include but are not limited to recruitment, benefits administration, payroll administration, performance management, employee relations and workers’ compensation/safety administration. In addition to Norma’s responsibilities in the HR arena she also assists in quality control and operations

Robert Wood
Robert has been with RJN since 1994 and is responsible for maintaining the company’s computer network of over 50 workstations, 5 network servers, and administering our web site. He is also responsible for our telecommunications services and overseeing over 100 cellular devices.
Robert’s other duties include equipping our field investigators with state of the art surveillance equipment, including all digital video cameras and new wearable hidden cameras.
Recently Robert was instrumental in providing our field investigators with new technology to enable them to upload video directly from the field to our secure video servers.
Robert also has the responsibility of keeping our staff trained on any new technology or software that the company implements, and has been invaluable in helping to maintain our high quality standard.
